A beginner's course for our smallest dancers. Dancers begin as early as 3 years old with Ballet and Tap, then move into the next phase during ages 4-6, with the option to add hip hop and jazz. This class will get your little one moving in a fun and engaging environment, guiding students through the foundations of dance and beyond. Students apply their newly developed skills within a learning environment that is challenging and demands their active participation. The result is a group of inspired and proficient little ones with a drive for learning and a motivation to succeed.
Ballet is a form of dance that uses scenery, music, and the movements of the dancers to tell a story. Learning classical ballet takes years of training.
This style is a favorite among many of our students. Tap is a style of dance that is performed wearing shoes fitted with metal taps, and is characterized by rhythmical tapping of the toes and heels.
Hip hop dance refers to street dance styles primarily performed to hip hop music or that have evolved as part of hip-hop culture. It includes a wide range of styles primarily breaking, locking, and popping which were created in the 1970s and made popular by dance crews in the United States.
Jazz, Jazz Funk, & Technique
Jazz dancing involves usage of smooth dance movements and postures to the beats. It can be considered as the super-set of Jazz-Funk and Lyrical Jazz, Broadway Jazz to name a few. Jazz dancing utilizes both Ballet and technical training.
Praise or Liturgical dance is a type of dance movement sometimes incorporated into church services as an expression of worship.
